ARISTIDES

From the Griego name Αριστειδης (Aristeides), derived from αριστος (aristos) best and the patronymic suffix ιδης (ides). This name was borne by the 5th-century BC Athenian statesman Aristides the Just, who was renowned for his integrity. It was also the name of a 2nd-century saint.
